Personal trainer Old Street intermittent fasting.

Personal Trainer Old Street

The following is to be done in-conjunction with my Bigt-fitness diet.

You are going to choose one day a week, ideally mid week. A Wednesday or a Thursday. On this day you are going to fast for 24 hours.

I recommend you do it this way. On the evening of the day before your fast day you have a meal as normal from the “Bigt-fitness Diet”. Then your next meal would be 24 hours later the following day, at the end of your fast day.

Example:

 Monday: Bigt-fitness diet.

Tuesday: Bigt-fitness diet (last meal at night, before fast).

Wednesday: No food all day. Only water.

 Wednesday Evening Meal: Bigt-fitness diet.

 Friday: Bigt-fitness diet.

 Saturday: Bigt-fitness diet.

 Sunday: Cheat day.

 INTERMITTENT FASTING

You may build up to a total day of fasting. If you feel uncomfortable doing it straight away with no food. It can be completed by taking 500 calories in on the day with water.

Then you build up to the total 24 hour fast. This must be done with the insulin diet you have received in the pack for best results. For even better results come and down see me. I’m a personal trainer based in East London near Moorgate, in the borough of the City of London.

Results sort the strong from the weak. personal trainer Old Street.

The fitness industry and your London personal trainer contained within that are expanding fast.

Your London Personal Trainer

Gone are the days when you would go down to your local leisure center for 50 p and go for a swim or the odd karate class when you felt like it.

The choice of gyms and ways to keep fit are now vast.
But I’m Big T and I’m “Your London Personal Trainer”.
The personal training sector is splintering off from the main stream gyms. In the last 2-3 years I’ve seen a huge increase in the number of privately run PT studios completely independent from corporate national chain gym.
You no longer need your membership to the likes of virgin active, fitness first or la fitness. You can now just go straight to a personal trainer and there private training studio. For me personally the standard of London personal trainers in these studios is higher than the national chain gyms without a doubt. There are of-course exceptions to this rule (see my other blogs about cowboy/cowgirl trainers) which is why you have to research your trainer thoroughly. Cowboy and cowgirl trainers I cannot stand, they have no program no clue and no result for you!
However ……..
Number 1 reason people quit or never use there gym membership?
They didn’t get a result of any kind. Simple as that.
If you pay for something that implies a result you expect to get one right?
See my testimonial page for my before and after pictures they range from semi-pro athletes to guy an girl off the street – some of the results achieved in as little as 2 weeks. Results are easy when you know how to get them.
Does a national chain gym want you to get a result?
Or does it want your regular direct debit that goes out monthly without you using the gym?
I know how to tailor your personal training program and diet regime just for you and your particular goals.
What works for one might not work for the many – hence why 1 generic training plan with no adaption, observation or testing at the beginning, during and end will achieve very little.
The client needs regular retesting and assessment to asses what I’m doing is working ….. While I have you reading this let me make it very, very clear – any trainer that body fat tests with an electric machine or just puts you on the weighing scales is a COWBOY / COWGIRL and they know it!
My qualifications and education are the gold standard in my industry – continuing education gives me the edge and the ability to answer and solve many of my clients questions and problems. Don’t be fooled by a trainer who can run off a list of pretty sounding qualifications like “Advanced, expert or master personal trainer” these are titles that carry weight, recognition or relevance to the job or industry. London Personal trainers who use these terms are rarely actually the words used.
Top things yourLondon personal trainer should have.
1) Public liability insurance £5 million plus.
2) Holds a, or works with someone who has a valid and up to date first aid cert.
3) They have the gold standard of education and they continue to educate themselves.
4) Most over looked aspect … A personality.
5) A documented history of results

Would i pay for myself if i was looking for a trainer? Well yes i would and i look at every single session i do exactly the same way “would i pay for this right here, right now?”

Is there value in what i do?

You bet there is, i myself believe in the coaching of fitness that i have a trainer myself for MMA and Muay Thai.
There are now several thousand personal trainers in London and the list is growing daily. No thanks to the conveyor belt of personal trainer courses that churn out fresh from high school fitness instructors and personal trainers. Its making people at the top of these independent education and training courses very wealthy indeed and it is diluting heavily my particular end of my industry – well educated, experienced and can guarantee results.  The sad part is, these courses can be done in as little as 4 weeks. That’s right 4 weeks! and bang you have yourself another batch of personal trainers ready for the meat grinder.
We live in a world where people no longer want to do the time, learn the trade and climb the ladder. I want it and i want it now …… truth is when your dealing with someone elses body and applying exercise and diet advice experience counts. Simple as that.
What works exercise and diet wise for someone reading this wont or might not work for another!
Recommended personal trainer London.
Problem is a course will tell you add 1 + 2 and you’ll get 3, truth is with the human body you might get 5, 8, or 11.
If results do differ and they will everyone is different. Then the trainer has to ask themselves:
Why?
What are the differing issues?
How do i solve the problem?
Long term education and experience can answer these, a 4 week personal trainer course cant, a trainer with a flashy website cant, a trainer who hasn’t continued to educate themselves cant. a trainer who calls themselves by names like “celebrity trainer” “ex-pro athlete” approach with suspicion.
Recommended personal trainer London.

How do i have the edge?

Simple i don’t sit back and think i have made it, i’m done, I’ve read all i’m ever going to need. Bring me the clients, bring them to me.
What i knew 12 years ago when i started out was different to 10 years ago and its very different to today. I don’t know everything how can you. But i have continued to ask questions, continue to read and self educate myself. Education wise many trainers wont like it but a strength and conditioning degree or Charles Poliquin Level 1 and 2 and Bio-signature is a must from a high quality / caliber trainer. In the next few years these will become the gold standard so to speak and will make what separates me from the 4 week course and Fitness First type / collection of trainers.
More and more the public are becoming switched on to what there potential trainers background is and this a good thing.  I cant stand blaggers and falseness – if you don’t have it, train for it or read about it.
Recommended personal trainer London.

How can i get you the body you want?

Take a look at my picture gallery. You cant fake real people and real results. I take pictures of every single client before and after and everyone is retested every 6-8 weeks. Sure the best results end up on the gallery page but no one leaves without achieving something. My name and reputation is linked to your result.
Truth is if i was in your shoes and i was looking for a trainer this how i would break down my search. A good place to start and the choice of many now is a google search. Then take a look at reviews, testimonials and before and after pictures, of and from the trainer.
This isn’t a witch hunt article, but you should be easily able and proud to recommend your trainer to a friend or colleague.

personal trainer liverpool street Result of a female client trained by bigt-fitness.

So this is in response to an article that was written by a London personal trainer in the fitness industry……

The trainer in question states that

“It is my personal view that women are better suited to training women”

This is based on what I’d like to ask her?

Then in the article gives no scientific or research based evidence to support this.

So let look at a few factors.

1) There are between 730-850 gyms inside the M25.

2) Every single one will have a team of personal trainers.

3) Average personal training team is made up of say 8-12 trainers in a gym.

4) Female trainers will make up a 2 of those sometimes 3.

It is well known in the industry that there is a shortage of female trainers. So statistically looking at the numbers above if women were apparently far better off training with a female trainer, why have so many male trainers full books? With some of them having a 60-70% female client base ratio. Surely there cant be thousands of women out there all wishing they had a female trainer but just putting up with a male one until one comes along.

In my 11 years of personal training i’ve heard of one inquiry from a woman asking specifically for a female due to religious reasons only. It wasn’t based on the understanding of her “psyche” or her “emotional state”.

What a client does want and what this trainers website seems to lack (how funny) is hard proof of results of any kind. No before or after pictures, no body stats of clients over specific time periods. No hard evidence that what they do with there client  creates results.
Now i would like to pick up on a point made in the article which brings into question the intensity of training received from male trainers

It is rare to see a man training a female client hard enough”

I ran this by the majority of my female clients (while they had time to take breath from being pushed to the edge of there fitness) and guess what they strongly disagreed…………. shock! This really isn’t a male or female thing, this is basically good or bad trainer thing. If you are leaving the gym fresh as a daisy and lightly perspiring while your trainer appears to be sweating more than you from chatting to his colleagues vigorously or from the piping hot cup of coffee he / she carries around like a comfort blanket, then chances are your with the wrong “person”, “personal trainer”, “trainer” – take your pick just don’t say male or female!

Now to my two favorite quotes of the piece that truly speak volumes about the article writers desperation to bang out a non scientific or researched based piece so they can try and claim a few SEO brownie points.

“Women don’t want to look like there male trainers”

Hold the phone this must be where i’ve been going wrong for the last 11 years. There was me thinking female clients wanted to look just like me, with the short brown hair and 2 day stubble effect! On a serious note women should train like men simple as that. It doesn’t work like this:

Boys lift weights
Girls run on treadmills / cross-trainers

They should be lifting as much as they can, controlled with specific protocols for their goals. For more info on these and training see here.

Quote two:
Why find someone that talks German if you talk French?” (By the way i haven’t grammar corrected this quote, especially as my grammar isn’t Oxford degree level)

Well if you want to learn to speak German whats the best thing you can do? Find someone who speaks German, live in Germany and immerse yourself in the culture and the language. Throw yourself in at the deep end.

In conclusion, this is not an article about male of female trainers or a battle of the sexes or very clever twist on the “Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus” theory. I am simply saying that its about the quality and standard of the trainer and the result that you get as a client, not their sex.
